NRA Personal Protection
Inside the Home Course
The NRA Personal Protection in the Home course develops the
basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe
and effective use of a handgun for the protection of yourself
and your family, along with providing information on your
legal right to self-defense in the home.
This course is designed to develop safety plans and strategies
for the home which encompass all family members, young and
old.
The pre-requisite for this course is NRA
Basic Pistol course or SC CWP course.
Our team of NRA Certified Instructors, along with a State
certified Conceal Weapons instructor, co-teach this 8 hour
course.
Topics covered include:
- Defensive Shooting Safety
- Rules for Safe Gun Storage
- Mental Preparations and Defensive Mindset
- Developing Defensive Shooting Skills, Shooting Positions
and Cover/Concealment
- Self-defense and the Laws of Deadly Force
- Aftermath of a justified defensive shooting
- Advanced weapon handling skills
- Safety strategies
- Avoiding potential threats around your home
- Responding to potential threats around your home
- Firearm selection
- Ammunition choices
- Use of peripheral equipment (ie lights, cell phones, etc)
This course combines classroom instruction along with live
fire range time with approximately 100 rounds fired. Aero-Tech
provides all targets and needed documentation along with the
NRA course materials.
What to bring:
- * Safe firearm
- 150 rounds of ammunition
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
- Side worn holster
*Aero-Tech can provide a firearm
and ammunition for a small additional fee.
Fee: $100.00 per-person. Pre-registration
is required.

NRA Personal Protection
Outside The Home
The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home course develops
the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the
safe and effective use of a handgun for personal protection
of yourself and your family along with providing information
on the law abiding persons right to self-defense outside in
real world situations. This course is an advanced program
for persons who have completed Basic Pistol and/or Personal
Protection in the Home and who have a current conceal carry
permit issued by their state.
The pre-requisite for this course is NRA Basic Personal Protection
Inside the Home course. Please see the course description
on this course information.
Our team of NRA Certified Instructors along with a State
certified Conceal Weapon instructors will co-teach this 9
hour Basic course and 5-hour Advance course.
Self-Defense and the Laws of Deadly Force for your state
are covered along with the aftermath of a justified self-defense
shooting. Practical exercises in advanced gun handling skills,
safety strategies and planning for how to respond to or avoid
potential threats in public. Proven advice on firearm selections,
carry options and ammunition choices along with additional
equipment options (cell phones, lights, etc.) will be covered
in the class.

- Concealed Carry Techniques
- Presentation of a Firearm from Concealment (Holster and/or
Purse)
- Defensive Shooting Skills and Strategies
- Handgun Safety
- Legal Aspects of Gun Ownership and Self-Defense
- The Aftermath of a Defensive Shooting
This course combines classroom instruction along with live
fire range time with up to 300 rounds fired. Aero-Tech Firearms
Inc. provides all targets and needed documentation along with
the NRA course materials.
What to Bring:
- A handgun (caliber .380 auto or .38 special and above)
- 300 rounds of ammunition
- holster molded to fit your handgun and belt.
- Extra magazines (or speed loaders),
- Knee pads
- Conceal Carry garment e
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
Fees: $125/person Basic portion;
